We hope you like our new website. The feedback we have had has been overwhelmingly good and we are very pleased with the results so far.
Like all good websites these days, this one is a ‘work in progress’. It will, in fact, remain so going forward. The site will change on a week by week basis with new features added and new facilities for users and with the existing information kept up to date and corrected frequently. This is one of the major advantages with the new site. For the first time we are in direct control of the site content and can edit it without reference to any outside ‘expert’ or organisation.
As with all new things, especially computer based things, this site has to be tested in the real world before all of the problems and glitches can be sorted out. We have ‘switched it off’ once already because of certain things we didn’t like and, if necessary, will do so again. We are determined to get it right. We, in the office, are also learning how to do things on the site. We are working with the IT developers to iron out the issues that arise and we would be grateful for your forbearance over the short bedding in period while we tailor the site so that it is exactly the way we want it.
At present, we are aware of a problem with the member registration interface. We are working on this with the IT developers and it will be sorted out soon.
In the meantime, we are open to constructive criticism of the site content and to any ideas for additional content or features for the future.
The Club Forum is still active and separate from the new website. It will be accessible from the members area of the website but it can also be accessed simply by Googling ‘Loch Rannoch Highland Club Forum’. This will take you to the forum log in page. Your log in details haven’t changed and should work without problems. If you have forgotten your password or experience difficulty logging in, please let the office know.
Once again, please bear with us while we get the new website working exactly as we want it. It will be well worth the wait.
All the best
